The Veranda has recently won awards with the Go Texan program throught the Texas Restaurant Association and the Texas Department of Agriculture. Chef James has shown his skill in the development of several recipes that have been published in major Texas magazines throughout the state. For that reason, The Veranda has decided to shift the menu to an Upscale Texas Cuisine. We are so lucky to live in a state that has such great beef and seafood. We will also be featuring some of the fabulous vegetables, herbs and cheeses of our great state. We will be pairing some fantastic Texas wines with these great new recipes, too. Look for the influence of our sister state, Louisiana, in many of the new menu items and a few of the recipes will feature spices from across the border in Mexico. Join us as we spice it up Texas style.

The Veranda provides an intimate atmosphere highlighted by attentive, professional service and an array of exciting menu selections accented with live entertainment provided by Pat and Ray (performing Friday and Saturday evenings). Pat and Ray's repertoire includes popular songs from every decade - and from many varied artists. The song list features songs that lend themselves to the fine dining experience. Their favorite artists include Celine Dion, James Taylor, The Carpenters, Jimmy Buffet, and many others. Pat and Ray have entertained in some of the best hotels and resorts in the country and played warm-up for Dolly Parton, Ray Charles, T. G. Shepard, Floyd Cramer, and Brenda Lee. They have played in Huntsville AL - Chattanooga TN - Gatlinburg TN - Salmon ID - Grants NM - the Florida Keys and Kingwood. They have recorded five albums and two are currently for sale. Pat and Ray also appeared on Eastern Airlines Inflight Music Program: "Music From the Florida Keys" with Jimmy Buffett and David Allen Coe. Ray has performed with Carl Perkins and Charlie Rich. Pat and Ray perform Friday and Saturday nights at The Veranda.
